Welcome to my portfolio! Here you will find a collection of all my assignments from English 250. These assignments demonstrate the use of multiple communication techniques. During the semester I learned how to use four forms of communication: written, oral, visual, and electronic. During the semester I familiarized myself with the techniques to improve as a writer

In the written tab, you will find essays that investigate different ways to build an argument. Throughout the semester, I believe that I have learned how to create a better argument by using objective words, rhetorical persuasion, and credible support. In doing so, I was able to grow as a writer and build strong credible arguments. When supporting my argument, I acquired the skill of citing my sources correctly both in-text and in the works cited.

In the oral tab, I discussed my use of communicating to my peers in class. In class questions helped me reassess my writing process and evaluate myself as a writer. I also received helpful criticism from my colleagues when finishing peer revisions. We also completed a group project that taught me how to plan and organize with a few other students.

In the visual tab, you will find my group project that includes an infographic and a memo. The infographic integrated rhetorical visual strategies that would help convey the message of our infographic. We applied pattern, contrast, direction, chunking, and color to enhance our argument. These techniques allowed our group to consider the importance of visual information and how it impacts your argument.

In the electronic tab, you will find the presentation that goes with the memo. Making the powerpoint taught our group what information is important to include. Creating this blog also taught me how to be a better electronic communicator. It allowed me to be creative and apply many communicating techniques.
