Introductory Reflection

Dear Eportfolio Observer (aka Mr. Brendan Curtin),

This is my blog I have worked on over the past semester. Here you will find my work as an English 250 student in the WOVE categories. Above this letter you will see titles, and clicking on any of them will take you directly to that artifact. From left to right, you will first see the about me page which will give you a brief background of who I am and why I am here. Next, you will find examples of my work in the writing, oral, visual, and electronic communication developments. Finally, you can find my reflections on all the class writing/presentation assignments, as well as two of my free responses and FMWP slide.

I came into this class as a strong writer and presenter, but that didn’t stop me from further education and taking it one step further. The big part of this class that actually helped me is it being a green theme. Out of complete honesty, I am not an idividual that cares to much about being green. I love nature, but that won’t stop me from driving my non-ecofriendly truck and burning racing fuel on the weekends at the track. The point of this is I had to do several assignments in something that doesn’t interest me whatsoever. For example, my A5 paper was on water pollution correlated from mining and my A4 on the destruction of trees from creating new golf courses. While each was fairly boring for me to research and analyze, it made me do something I didn’t really want to but still having to give a maximum effort. Just like the real world, you’re not always going to be doing what you want at your job, but continuously producing quality content will put you on a path leading to success. This portfolio is my journey through that work, I hope you enjoy.
