Dear Professor Jake,
For the moment you have been waiting for, I am finally going to guide you through the journey of my eportfolio that I have been creating throughout this semester. By creating this eportfolio, I was able to gain and expand my communication skills in a variety of ways to my audience. First thing first, I am going to guide you through the links of my menu to access my reflections and artifacts and then I am going to talk about my learning process on communication processes and development while working on this electronic work throughout this semester.
To start off, in this eportfolio you can access numerous topics in the menu located above or to the right of the computer screen. To get to know me a little bit better, I advise you to take a look at my About Me Page. After you have done that, you can read all of my Reflection Blogs here. If you want to take a look on how I edited and revised my artifacts and how I reflected on them as a growing writer, you can access my Written Page here. If instead you would like to access my thoughts on an oral and visual communicator you can access my Oral and Visual Page here. Or if you would much rather read my thoughts on the process of creating this eportfolio throughout the semester, you can locate my Electronic Page here. After you have gone through all of pages, you can access my final thoughts on my Final Reflection Page here.
As you are accessing my links you are going to see the processes on what I do to become a better writer and communicator on each different mode of communication. From the start of this course, my composing processes has changed throughout the semester by taking my time to create and reflect on my assignments. In the beginning, I did not put enough effort into writing my first couple of assignments because I did not enjoy the topics. However, throughout the semester, I found out that in order to get a good grade in the class I have to try harder in writing my papers if I want to not only grow as a writer but as a communicator as well to show you, Jake, that I can be a good writer if I take my time in reflecting. Which leads me to my goals on improving my communication process. I hope to continue on one of my weaknesses which is organization and style. By doing this, I am going to keep practicing on different modes of communication and take my peers remarks into consideration on how they may think that in whatever I am writing will improve my thesis.
As for communication development, I feel that I have grown a lot since the beginning of this year. For instance, I notice in my context for writing has grown overtime, I like to make sure that whatever I am writing about, I make sure to use my resources to back up my thoughts. In oral, I make sure to get my main points across and slightly mentioning other things that may not be as important. For instance, from listening to my other classmates presentations, I started making ideas of my own on what I should decide to say. I learned that the hard during my first presentation when I thought I should talk about everything in my paper instead of making main points to make it similar. In visual, I really take the advantage of the use of colors and visuals. I learned that I like to use a color scheme throughout the project so everything can match and I also make sure that if I am using a visual, I do it in a way that it will make sense and give the audience a mental picture. And in electronic, I learned and gain new skills during the process of making this eportfolio by creating menus for my audience to navigate through, importing documents and pictures, and just a new perspective on communicating on an electronic piece.
To conclude this letter, I hope you find it easy to navigate through my menu to gain insight on my reflections as a writer throughout this long journey. I hope you enjoy!
