My name is Jeremy and I am a double major in Microbiology and Genetics at Iowa State University. Currently I work in a research lab for a professor of Plant Pathology and Microbiology doing a small project for one of the post doctoral faculty. Also, I work as a Peer Mentor for the Microbiology Department helping freshmen adjust to college life. After completing my undergraduate studies I plan to attend graduate school and pursue a PhD in either Molecular Genetics and Microbiology or Virology and Immunology.

The Blog that is the main feature of this site is meant to inform and spark curiosity in the topics I write about. I try to report the facts and notify the reader when I start to talk about my own views on the subjects. However, I will note that I write the posts with a more conversational tone rather than a extremely distant professional tone.
