2. Introductory reflection as your static home page
Use your introductory reflection as your static home page. This page should accomplish a few goals:
In my ePortfolio you can find everything I have done throughout the semester. Mostly with writing and such. On the home page to the right of screen you can find list of different sub categories to find a specific article.
Dear Derek,
You have been very helpful with the WOVE process. With the written part I have taken time to slow down and actually pay attention I write things. Most of the time I am writing as if I am having a conversation with someone else or tend to mostly speak in third person. But with the help of you I have taken the time to write things in a way the reader can see that I am not doing that.
With my oral communication skills I tend to try to be more grammatically correct. Growing up most of my family from was from the south so most of my speaking mistakes or the way I talk comes mostly from that. But from this semester I have found out how to cut that off and be able to speak clearly and verbally.
Visually was kind of hard for me, because I don’t observe things very well or even at all sometimes so with the visual it was kind of hard to get the hang of it. I think the example that helped me to finally understand in was the McDonald’s video you showed us and it talked about the symbols McDonald’s used and the colors that represent different things. And before I would have never looked that into any of things because to me it’s just an ad and as long as I can understand it I’m fine.
Lastly the electronic wasn’t that difficult to understand because as part of the technology generation I understand how to use websites and why they use most of the images they use to get viewers to go to their website. Most of the time it’s a big marketing thing, especially for businesses trying to sell something. I have learned to look at things closely online and see what the creator of the website is actually trying to get the viewer to see of get the information they were looking for.
