A5 Reflection
This assignment was quite involved in terms of the amount of research that I had to do for this project. Virtually nothing in my past work involves sources outside of online articles, so it stands to reason that I’d be out of my element with the amount of effort that was required of me. I do however believe that it has paid off in terms of quality in the final draft, and it’s a paper that I can be proud of.
I would consider myself an egalitarian and I freely give the benefit of the doubt to any and all sides of the argument in my personal life. Here, the transition of that sentiment has been quite smooth, and it was second nature for me to present multiple viewpoints equally. I can imagine that this would be beneficial in the future as it one of the many qualities of a “team player”, an individual that prioritizes the benefit of the group rather than the self. I imagine it would only be to my benefit by positioning myself as such.
As this was a longer assignment than usual, I did not properly anticipate the amount of work, and crucially time, that was required of me. Thankfully, I quickly realized this and dedicated a whole day into writing. I’ve never had to produce so much work in such a short span of time before, as past works have either been shorter, or I was given more time than what I had. While I did manage to make the deadline, this isn’t good practice by any stretch of the imagination. And it certainly did not help that I had midterms during the week of the deadline, and I would charitably describe this situation as a close shave.
