Representing my visual communication
In your ePortfolio, you only need to include something that represents your visual communication. For this ePortfolio sample, a gallery of PowerPoint slides as images demonstrate visual communication.
In this ePortfolio example, the images have been included as a slider at the top of this page.
Reflecting on Visual Communication
This can be your reflection about visual communication and why you chose the items you did to represent the V in WOVE.
I chose to include my slides from my research presentation as the best example of my visual communication progress. Although these slides accompanied an oral presentation, they also demonstrate my ability to design visually, as I created a custom background and chose a custom color-palette and custom fonts.
In addition, I made extensive use of the shapes tool to create graphic elements using contrast, alignment, repetition, and position, to help viewers to quickly grasp the relationships between concepts. As I drafted and revised these slides, I strove to make the content simpler and easier for my audience to understand.
These visual skills showcase my ability to integrate words and images and to design attractive and easily-understandable pieces of communication. As I progress in my major, and later in my career, I will use these skills to present my research and my work to my professors, my peers, and my clients.
