Electronic Reflection

Electronic Reflection

Unfortunately my original presentation for LDST 122 was too large for the website and after all the efforts, it was difficult to minimize and after downloading it as a PDF, it didn’t seem to load. Because of this, I made my prezi into a powerpoint to outline what I did. However, If you would like to access my actual prezi for the presentation you can do so here.

I chose this assignment as my electronic reflection because I used different ways to convey my message. I utilized different transitions and visual aspects to introduce my point in an aesthetically pleasing matter. In every slide there isn’t much information because instead I spoke more about my experience and used the slide as a reference for my presentation. Having short bullet points make the audience more interested in the topic by not boring them into the details, and instead give them key points about what  we’re going to talk about. I also added a short video, in the right widget bar that reads “Video that inspires”, that also entertained viewers and caught their attention.

I had a bit of a confusion with the assignment in general but the professor did a good job at clearing those points, as well as providing good examples for this specific assignment. After comparing my presentation with other ones, I realized it didn’t have any visual aspects and could potentially bore the audience. Adding the video reduced that. This presentation demonstrated my electronic communicating abilities by being able to add a video, as well as other elements in my powerpoint to make an overall coherent and entertaining presentation. My LDST 122 presentation connects with my ENG 250 class because I had to use tips that I learned in ENG 250. A trick I used was being able to reduce how many words in a slide, and instead use them as a base for my overall presentation.
