Reflection on OVE

Reflection on OVE

I chose my poster for assignment #5 to reflect on. I chose this assignment as my best visual work because other than getting good feedback from the professor, I also enjoyed creating it very much. I dedicated a lot of time and effort creating this poster and my background in advertising helped me also. I used many tips and tricks that I learned in class to be able to direct my attention to my audience. I used the “chunking” method to direct the viewer to small paragraphs with information along with my poster. I also added vibrant colors that were eye catching and made the viewers attentive to the information. I used my peer review well since they advised me to change a few fonts that were unclear and I did the same. It’s important to have understandable fonts and that’s why I ended up changing mine. Other than changing the fonts, I also changed a few pictures since they were not visible enough and didn’t emphasize learning. I wanted to incorporate, not only traveling but also the studying aspect of studying abroad. I also changed font sizes to be larger and cut some information short since it was a poster and not a brochure. I’m a very organized and creative person and I feel as though this is a good representation of the work I’m able to do. I enjoyed creating this poster because, not only did I learn so much from study abroad, but could also put my creative side to the test.
