Reflection #1
I chose my dorm as my favorite and most important place on campus because I’ve spent most of my time there. Whether I’m studying or just hanging out with friends or my roommate. As the semester went by, I considered my room to be by sanctuary and the place where I can truly relax and reflect about my day. I consider this important because without this room, or this moment of relaxation, I couldn’t go on with my day. My dorm room and my Residence Hall are important because I’ve made so many new friends, memories, new experiences and even a job. In my room I’ve laughed, cried, screamed from frustration and even happiness. I feel as though my room is my own part of Puerto Rico. I remember vividly, just laying on my roommate and mine’s carpet, with the lights turned off, our disco lights turned on, and just talking about everything we miss back home. That day could’ve been a week day or a weekend but they way we spoke and opened up to each other was and talked about our insecurities was unlike any other. Because of that, is that I think my room is the most important. We shared so many memories in that dorm, that I couldn’t have had anywhere else.
