While I wrote my second assignment I had much more time for revision and to be able to write. By having so much time on my hands, I often left it for the late nights where usually I’m tired. This didn’t help me much. I often opened the website for my presentation, in this case the Study Abroad website, and read most of the information. I paraphrased many of the paragraphs on the website that may not have helped because I also had to cite them. I revised the paper thoroughly and often had to cut it by a lot to reach 650 words. I began with a pretty terrible first draft that made it to about 900 words. It was hard to cut off many of the paragraphs and sentences I thought were important but it was better than having to look for information to add. I liked the approach I took to look at the website while writing and also starting off with a big, badly written draft. I could use this technique for other assignments but also reminding myself about the due date and to not leave to write it at night.
